A native of Northern California, Shane entered New York University in 1999, majoring in Media Studies. He interned at Esquire, Jalouse, and TALK, before graduating in 2003.
Post-NYU, Shane landed at Teen People casting "real teens.” After the closure of Teen People in 2006, he went on to work for Getty Images as a fashion and entertainment editor, packaging all fashion content for the company, including email blasts, a mobile channel, an entertainment blog, and special projects, in addition to fashion styling for Contour by Getty Images.
Shane was inspired to pursue a full-time freelance fashion styling career after working with many leading photographers, including Greg Gorman, Chris Floyd, and Gabrielle Revere. His key clients have included Barneys.com, Jones New York, LOFT, People.com, Rolling Stone Australia, Vanity Fair Germany, Westfield Corporation, and many more. Along the way, Shane has had the privilege to work with various actors, musicians, and personalities, including Rosanna Arquette, Laura Benanti, Sophia Bush, Alexis Dziena, Jon Huertas, Arielle Kebbel, Candice King, Vanessa Lachey, Heidi Montag, Lou Taylor Pucci, Leven Rambin, Tika Sumpter, and The Veronicas. They have sought his counsel for their photographic and public relations image.
In 2016, Shane started to pursue digital fashion styling ventures with #Macysstylecrew. By 2018, he became the highest-viewed social selling personality on Macys.com. From his work at Macy’s, he landed Project You: Building and Extending your Personal Brand at Stanford University, a Knight Graduate School of Business course curated by Tyra Banks and Allison Kluger from 2016 to 2019. Encouraged by Kluger with his branding work at Stanford, Shane completed his Master of Science in Marketing at Santa Clara University’s Leavey School of Business in 2021.
Post graduate school, Shane took on various marketing manager positions at Lydian Academy, Fontana Forni USA, and San Francisco Ballet. He is currently a community manager for CANOPY, an elevated co-working space in Menlo Park, CA. He continues to work with private personal shopping clients, closet organization, and preparing clothing for resale.
